Tiki Gods and Candles

Found some cool Tiki God glasses. All smiling on one side and frowning on the other.  made some drinks in 2 of them, then decided, they needed to be candles. Because, why not! Look at these beauties.

Already had wax. Needed to consider what scents to use. Figured something tropical was needed. And I wanted to use good oils and some sort of natural colorant to give it the right look. Found a youtube video on using them. There were recommendations for Turmeric for yellow, Paprika for its orange, Beet root for reds, spirilina for a green bit. I found this idea very attractive.

I thought it a great idea and it would mean using something I already had in a new way.  I choose the Tumeric and got a really nice yellow that reminds me of a Pineapple.  Quite the correct thing in the case of A Tiki Candle scented with it and coconut.  Its smells good enough to drink.

Candle Making Supplies Making a candle

Not that candle making is hard or complicated. So I am not going to go into great detail on the making step. I put the Tumeric into cheese cloth, tied it up and put it in with the wax as it melted. I waited longer than usual to see how the color would effect the wax and until I was happy with the results.

This one is now available to you $15.00 Now on to more candles and colors I include some glitter in the next pineapple coconut too. Also, looking to do some new colors. A black on would be cool if I can egt the color, with a sandalwood or some sort of ocean scent. I have another 9 to make.

I think I am going to pull a mold from these glasses to.
