Another day, another post. Some of you who follow my social media already know. Recently I migrated to Chicago for a new job. With the bonus of two of my children who live here. Both good things. On the negative side, it essentially required I abandon the studio for a lot of reasons. A sad thing. But only things, none the less. A few people I have left behind makes me much sadder. Hope to stay closer to them now.
So once again, it’s time to recreate things around me. Soon, I need to find a place to put down some roots here. Not even sure where. Chicago is such a wonderful city, with so much in it, and around it, in its many suburbs. I’m lovin’ the groceries and food stored here. Well except for one. But the produce, the meats, the staples! Everything I imagine is here and if not, find another store that has it.
I’ve been avoiding the second-hand stores. Too much temptation and no place to put or work on things! Since I don’t have any resistance, I don’t go in. But soon. Soon, Chicago, you will hear from me!
In the meantime, expect my posts and social media to explore the non-woodworking side of my life. As I explore the area, the food. All while cooking in a tiny two burner kitchen and living in the tiny space I have for myself.
And if this is your first visit. Recreated Studio is all about the recreated and reborn.
